Student Travel Grants

Thank you for your interest in the 2025 Student Travel Grant. The deadline for submissions for the 2025 Student Travel Grant has now passed. The Awards Committee is now reviewing applications and will announce grant recipients very soon.

For 2025, NWSA offered students financial support of up to $1,000 to attend and present their research at the 2025 NWSA Annual Meeting. Grant funding may be used to support registration and travel to the event, accommodation, subsistence, and presentation materials costs.

To be eligible for the Student Travel Grant, applicants must be:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate (Masters or PhD) program,
  • An NWSA student member (student membership cost of $20/year) at the time of application submission,
  • Conducting research on one or more subjects within NWSA's broad areas of interest, and projects must be focused on the greater Northwest of North America, and
  • Prepared to present results from their research (not just background/methods) in poster of oral format at the NWSA Annual Meeting in March, 2025.

Students interested in the Student Travel Grant for next year's Annual Meeting may wish to review the 2025 application instructions to get a sense of eligibility details and general submission requirements.
