NWSA memberships

Any individual interested in the purpose of the association may become an individual member upon payment of annual dues. Membership privileges include voting, holding office, receiving Northwest Science and reduced rates for publishing in Northwest Science. High school or college students may become "student members" upon the payment of annual student membership dues. Student members have all the privileges of other memberships except voting and holding office.

All memberships and subscriptions (except Honorary) are based on the calendar year and run from January 1 through December 31.

NWSA membership options and current dues:

  • Student membership: $20/yr
  • Individual membership: $40/yr
  • Individual membership outside of United States: $50/yr (to cover additional postage for journal)
  • Sustaining membership: $60/yr
  • Institutional membership: $80/yr - $120/yr (see the 2025 institutional rate schedule and or contact Robin Lesher for information)

Accessing Northwest Science
As of 2025, membership of NWSA provides access to Northwest Science in electronic/online format only. Members wishing to receive printed copies of Northwest Science may opt to do so for an additional $82 per year when purchasing or renewing an NWSA annual membership.

Payment Methods for new memberships and renewals

Existing members can also renew memberships by visiting the "Membership" tab under "View/Edit Profile", accessed by hovering over the human icon at the upper right corner of the browser window. If your email or physical address has changed, please update your contact details in your membership profile to ensure that emails and any physical mail, including mailing of Northwest Science, finds you in a timely manner!
